Abstract:Background: According to a literature review Tinospora cordifolia possess alkaloids, tannins, flavonoids, glycosides, steroids with anti-cancer potential. However, there is lack scientific evidence on the green synthesis selenium nanoparticles from stem T. its biological activities. Objectives: This study intended synthesize Selenium Nanoparticles using extract, characterise them, evaluate them in-vitro for antioxidant anticancer activity. Materials Methods: The (TC-SeNPs) were synthesised by reducing selenious acid extract. TC-SeNPs characterized UV–Vis, FTIR, XRD, FE-SEM, EDAX ICP-AES, further evaluated activity DPPH free radical scavenging test power capacity. MTT assay TC-SeNP was carried out in human breast cancer cells line (MCF-7) determine Results: UV-spectroscopy showed maximum absorbance at 285 nm, which characteristic feature SeNP. DLS, SEM, TEM images, size between 100-200 nm stable Zeta potential -23.9mV. XRD analysis confirmed crystallinity TC-SeNPs. verified (63.36% weight) ICP-AES 68.08 ±12.2 μg/ml content. IC50 value 28.62 ± 0.63 μg/mL EC50 (62.50 1.21 μg/mL) values indicated that significant cytotoxic MCF-7 cell (31.29 0.22μg/mL), suggesting display moderate cytotoxicity could dose-dependently inhibit proliferation. Conclusion: Thus, experimental provides insight into successful nanoparticle cordifolia, therapeutic value, prospect developing an formulation.
